Session: Year-round, 1 artist or collaborative group in residence for 6-8 week sessions. Description: Artists create their work with open studio hours for the public to watch the work-in-process. Each Creative Resident dedicates time weekly to work with small groups of underserved youth in intensive workshops that build upon the ideas and forms of the resident artist. Each artist is expected to work at PlatteForum a minimum of 20 hours a week and use the facility as his or her primary studio. Read MoreART342 is a nonprofit residency and artist community that provides the necessary time and space for independent creative practice. Studios, living arrangements and financial aid are given to qualified emerging or midcareer artists. We support the work of both national and international artists who specialize in the visual arts, writing or music composition. During 14-week sessions in the Spring, Summer and Fall, accepted residents experience 24 hour studio access, informal exchanges with fellow artists, and opportunities in community interaction and outreach.
