Singing for Change empowers people to become more self-sufficient. Singing for Change supports invests in nonprofit organizations that inspire, empower, and equip people to become more self-sufficient. Our grantees encourage personal growth among people who are marginalized. They care about the community as a whole, as well as promote the belief that collectively, people can bring about positive change and sustainable self-sufficiency through connected, diverse communities. Most likely to be considered are organizations that keep their overhead low and collaborate with other groups in their community to find innovative ways of solving a common problem. WHAT IS YOUR BEST IDEA FOR THE ARTS? The Knight Arts Challenge funds the best ideas that connect people to place and to each other through the arts. In 2019, we’ll open challenges in Akron, Detroit, and Miami, and invite applications from artists and arts organizations in each of these cities. RAPID RESPONSE FUND FOR MOVEMENT BUILDING The Bay Area and the nation are at a crossroads. Despite historic levels of prosperity, there is rising income and wealth inequality, and increasing poverty. In order to advance racial and economic equity, The San Francisco Foundation believes that those who are most impacted should be at the forefront of efforts to change these disparities. They should have the resources they need to lead campaigns and to take action to improve conditions in their communities. Now, more than ever, movement leaders need to quickly respond to pressing challenges that disproportionately impact low-income people and communities of color. Illinois Arts Council – Individual Artist Support

Illinois Arts Council – Individual Artist Support (IAS) program assists Illinois artists to realize a career goal, take advantage of a professional opportunity, or to produce and present an artistic project. General Information The IAS program encompasses two different tracks. Each track has specific limitations and requirements. Review each track’s guidelines thoroughly to determine which best suits your goals. Artists may apply to only one track each fiscal year. – Artist Project Track (IAS/AP) supports individual artists in the production and presentation of an artistic project. Applicants may request a maximum of 75% of the total cash expenses of the project up to $4,000. The minimum request is $500.
