Eligibility: Open to U.S. and international artists, who demonstrate significant achievement in their disciplines, commensurate with their age and experience.

Description: Located in a series of villas on the Italian Riviera, the Liguria Study Center provides residential fellowships for qualified persons working on advanced creative or scholarly projects in all arts and humanities disciplines, including archaeology, architecture/ landscape architecture, classics, dance, film/video, history, literature, music, philosophy, theater, and the visual arts. Room, board and studio space provided. With respect to Dance, Music, and Theater, however, the Center does not have rehearsal studio space for persons wishing to work extensively in performance. The cost of transportation to and from Genoa is the responsibility of Fellows or their accompanying spouses/companions. So also are all other personal expenses incurred during the fellowship period, including the purchase of materials and equipment.
